An exciting opportunity has arisen for Care Assistant Apprentices to contribute to Provider Services within the Adults, Housing & Health Directorate of Thurrock Council. You will be required to work within the Care teams providing care to Thurrock residents in their own homes.
The role will be working as part of a team to promote personalisation and re-ablement where possible, while assisting in achieving the delivery of outcomes for residents within their own home.
The apprentice position is for a period of 15 months and during this time you will support and assist the residents with all aspects of their daily living needs including moving and handling. You will need to be able to build appropriate relationships with Service user’s to ensure core values are met. Our core values include

The ideal candidate for this role will need:

The service provides care from 6 am until 11 pm daily and we are currently looking for people who are flexible and can work a shift pattern to cover these calls 7 days a week. You will be required to travel around the borough so having a Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle will be beneficial but not essential.
Full training is provided and you will undertake the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Adult Social Care. Apprenticeship study will be undertaken within normal working hours. Time will be allocated to attend training and complete assignments, workbooks, online training etc. as required by the qualification.
