Wealden District Council is committed to playing an active role in developing a vibrant local economy and supporting the local community. As a vital part of our Community & Regeneration team you will be responsible for taking a strategic lead in developing and implementing the Council’s approach to economic development. As lead officer for Economic Development you will prioritise economic growth projects as set out in the Wealden Local Plan and the County Council’s adopted Economic Development Growth Strategy.

You will also be required to contribute to the development of the agreed community and regeneration service plan covering the agendas of economic development, tourism, leisure, health, community and the voluntary sector.

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline with previous experience in a similar role, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good level of IT skills.
