About the role

Adult Social Care is investing in its Being Digital Programme. To deliver this, several projects need to be initiated which require various project management and business analyst roles to work with existing staff within the Business Development and Insight service area.

This ambitious high profile programme will ensure digital tools are implemented so Adult Social Care can best meet growing demand, whilst engaging with residents in a way and at a time that suits them so that they can make informed choices about their care. We also need to ensure that our workforce is working as efficiently and effectively as possible with the digital tools required to enable them to best support residents in East Sussex.

As a Project Manager, you will bring you will bring strong organisational, planning and communication skills to the role and will be a pivotal in supporting the delivery of the Being Digital portfolio, working across a range of exciting projects.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced team and to be at the forefront of collaborative working. You will be responsible for the development, monitoring and implementation of high-profile and innovative projects, working with a range of services, departments and stakeholders in the local health and care system.

With a strong understanding of social care provision and priorities you will engage with staff, residents and stakeholders (including the Community and Voluntary Sector) to develop and implement tools, pathways and systems to support front line services and improve outcomes for local residents. You will be used to working with senior managers in multi-agency settings to set up programmes of change, and coordinating, monitoring and delivering projects. You will work in an autonomous manner as part of a dynamic project management team.

Main Responsibilities: Leading on engagement, development and delivery of Being Digital projects and initiatives within Adult Social Care.

The Ideal Candidate: You’ll have excellent communication and engagement skills and will have worked in an appropriate public sector setting, with experience of delivering change programmes to improve services, pathways and outcomes for people with social care needs.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
