Help us to transform how residents interact with Lewes and Eastbourne councils and how staff can make use of the best technology to provide key services, all while working from home.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Project Managers to support the councils on their transformation journey.
These roles will be contributing to the councils’ transformation programme and located within the councils’ Business Transformation Unit. The transformation programme is delivering projects designed to make people’s experience of dealing with the councils quicker, easier, and better through using new and existing technology to enhance customer service. The Project Manager roles will also work with a wide range of internal and external partners to help realise the councils’ transformation ambitions.
Each Project Manager will lead on one of two projects in the transformation programme - development and delivery of a new website or a new single Planning system for the councils.
Please indicate on your personal statement in your application if you prefer either project.
Key duties will include:
- developing and delivering project plans
- testing and requirements gathering
- liaising with stakeholders
- ensuring actions are delivered within set timescales
- documenting and reporting progress
The successful candidates will also work across and support other projects within the transformation programme as required and will be supported by Assistant Project Managers to do so.
In return, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills as part of a supportive team, working across Lewes and Eastbourne councils.
From flexible working to job sharing (where possible) we are committed to providing a healthy work life balance. A laptop will be supplied. You will benefit from 25 days annual leave, rising to 29 days after 5 years’ continual service, and a generous local government salary related pension.
The starting salaries for the roles are £36,371 per annum working 37 hours a week. The posts also benefit from a market supplement payment that is reviewed annually and is subject to experience and performance.
