About the job
Part time opportunity 18 hours per week, salary pro rata. We are seeking passionate, caring individuals for the role of Passenger Assistant.
Passenger Assistants play a key role in assisting vulnerable adults and children borough-wide with their travel assistance programmes for their journeys to day activities, school or home.
This service supports ASC (Adult Social Care) and SEN (Special Educational Needs) individuals, encouraging and enabling independence in a safe, supportive environment by developing and implementing individual travel training programmes.
About the person
Previous experience in assisting passengers with a disability and proven interpersonal skills are a must.
You will allow our clients as much independence as possible, whilst ensuring that their comfort, safety, dignity and wellbeing are maintained at all times. Every one of our clients will have their own specific needs and requirements, and will need differing levels and areas of support. We are seeking supportive individuals with great communication skills and a passion for working with and supporting SEN and ASC individuals.
The work has lots of variety, with a range of challenges - but is also highly rewarding, as you will become a key individual to regular service users.
