Liverpool City Council’s Internal Audit Service is a small, dynamic team of staff who provide a comprehensive audit service across all areas of the Council. Following an internal promotion, we are looking to recruit to the current team with the addition of a Senior Auditor.
The Council is currently undergoing a significant period of change particularly with the delivery of ongoing budget cuts. Internal Audit work is key to supporting the organisation throughout this period, providing assurance work and proactive support. The Internal Audit Service plays a significant role in relation to risk, assurance and investigation work, and operates in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Auditor to join the team and support the work that we do. The role will require the successful candidate to assist in the delivery of our planned audit activity, working areas as required in line with the needs of the service and Audit Plan.
Working within a changing environment will provide a great opportunity to gain experience undertaking a wide range of audit work.
