Main advert detail
The Family Information Service (FIS) is part of the Front Door for Families. It offers information and advice to parents, carers and professionals via its telephone helpline and online platforms. The team provides a wide range of support to families with varying levels of need and also offers expert advice on childcare and childcare funding.
As well as providing a professional and caring front line service, the Family Information Support Officer is also responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks that support the smooth running and development of the service. This includes managing the FIS databases, online directory and website, developing information resources, providing monitoring information and processing applications for funded childcare places. There will also be opportunities to build relationships with key contacts and promote the service which may include speaking to groups of parents or professionals.
If you are enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, are competent in using a range of IT packages, and have a good understanding of childcare and services that can support families, we would like to hear from you.
