In this post you will support the Principal Waste Contracts Officer in the delivery of a wide range of Waste, Recycling and Street Cleansing related services. You will be providing professional advice and guidance to service users and colleagues. This will include monitoring of the Districts Refuse, Recycling and Street Cleansing Contract. You will also issue works to contractors, monitor, supervise their performance to make sure the specified quality is achieved and health and safety regulations in relation to these works are enforced.

 

Educated to A Level standard or equivalent such as NVQ 3 qualification in a related subject. A full driving licence is required for this role. The successful applicant will possess; a knowledge and understanding of Waste, Recycling and Street Cleansing practices, knowledge of health and safety issues relating to the waste industry, experience of accurate record keeping, contractor management.
