Redbridge has an ambitious agenda for growth, harnessing the benefits of Crossrail and our east London location to deliver 17,500 new homes, 5,000 jobs and high-quality spaces and places by 2030. Following adoption of our Local Plan and Regeneration Strategy, our strategic plans are in place and having recently completed a restructure of our service we are set to grow.
We have a number of exciting opportunities within the Regeneration Service; developing programmes of regeneration delivery, establishing the Council’s own wholly owned company “Redbridge Living” and building our Economic Development team to promote Redbridge as a borough where business and enterprise can thrive.
Working directly to the Economic Development Team Manager, you will have a lead role in shaping the Council’s strategic offer to business; building strong relationships with the borough’s business partnerships and stakeholders and establishing a robust approach to town centre management. Using your experience of working within an economic development setting you will lead development of a comprehensive offer for the borough’s start-up and SME business community, to include establishment of a dedicated business hub. As a skilled communicator across a range of internal and external partners, you will maximise opportunities to secure inward and external investment into the borough as well as leveraging sustainable sources of income into the service.
