An immediate opportunity has arisen within Development Management to recruit an Assistant Land Charges Registrar on a permanent full-time basis of 37 hours per week.
The post holder will be expected to assist with the day-to-day functioning of this busy department, assisting the Land Charges Registrar with a demanding case load of property searches and associated tasks including obtaining appropriate information from external and internal sources and checking and handling fees.
To apply you must have a minimum of 3 GCSE’s including Maths and English at Grade A* to C or equivalent or a relevant qualification e.g. Business Administration, Customer Service with literacy and numeracy at level 2 or will be able to demonstrate equivalent literacy and numeracy skills through work competences. You will also have thorough office experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook and will be able to deal effectively with customers. You must also have good written and verbal communications skills, be able to organise and prioritise your workload and work successfully as part of a team.
The role requires strong attention to detail and accuracy whilst working under pressure to provide Land Charge Searches in a prompt and timely manner to our customer base. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.
The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
