This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to continue the journey we have embarked upon to deliver quality housing repairs and maintenance services for the Adur District Council’s housing service.
You will be responsible for all aspects of a wide range of housing repairs and compliance functions and manage a team of staff based in different locations.
This includes our in-house Building Services team and a team of trade operatives providing a quality repairs service to our residents.
You will need thorough knowledge and experience of the building/construction industry, and will have excellent ability to plan work, set and deliver to targets and schedules and monitor and ensure a quality outcome for our residents. You must be able to communicate well with a variety of people, including colleagues, customers, elected members and contractors.
The successful candidate will be qualified in a building related subject to a minimum of HNC level with significant experience of staff management and a proven track record in delivering service in a public environment.
