The Council is looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Benefit professional to join our Benefit team and help provide an efficient and effective service for our customers.  The post is offered on a full time basis of 37 hours per week however part time hours could be considered.

The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of the Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction determination process, as the main responsibility will be to carry our quality checks on all types of calculations, paying particular attention to accuracy.  You should be an excellent team worker and be able to demonstrate good customer care skills.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information, advice, instruction in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.

The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
