An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Strategy Team for a Planning Policy Specialist. The team is to embark on the production of a new local plan and you will have the opportunity to shape this through all stages of the process from the initial research and public engagement to policy development and then through to examination.

You will also assist with the council’s planning policy monitoring function, the delivery of the adopted Local Plan undertaking specific related projects as well as assisting with the development of wider council strategies and policies, such as the council’s climate change work.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual who will work collaboratively with others. We would welcome applicants from both the private and public sectors with relevant experience and appropriate qualifications.
