Recruitment Officer – Fostering and Adoption
Fixed Term Contract. Maternity Cover beginning Monday 1 October.
22 hours per week, Mondays to Wednesdays
A maternity cover developmental opportunity has arisen in our Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team. The Recruitment Officer would join an busy Fostering Recruitment and Assessment team in increasing our pool of foster carers.
The successful candidate will have an ability to communicate effectively with the general public, sharing information on the fostering and adoption process at the initial stage of enquiry.
They will have a personable manner and be able to gather some basic information to make a judgement about suitability for fostering, identifying when they need to seek management clarification. They will be able to collect, record and produce data and reports of enquiries, and track the progress of applicants statistically.
They will have a calm and reliable manner and be able to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of adoption and fostering is desirable, however the post may also suit candidates who have experience of working in a children and families setting.
