We are looking for a confident and highly motivated lawyer to join our contracts and procurement legal team. You will manage a varied case load as well as having the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance at all stages of the procurement process, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements.

You will also have the opportunity to work on some of the Council’s major projects. The Council has an exciting programme of regeneration projects such as Preston Barracks, the Waterfront and Circus Street which are changing the landscape of the city. Increasingly the Council is also changing the way it delivers services and the successful candidate is likely to have the opportunity to work on challenging complex projects such as the project to set up a charitable trust to run the Royal Pavilion.
Experience of contracts and procurement law is desirable. Excellent client care, communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to develop in the role are essential.
