We are looking to recruit a confident, skilled team player with sound IT, numerical and analytical skills to assist the Senior Income Control Officer with the day-to-day management of the income control function.
The post of Income Control Officer is based in the Finance Support Services Team, which forms part of the Audit, Procurement & Operational Finance Division.
As the Income Control Officer you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Income Control Officer to reconcile and account for all monies received into the Council’s bank account on a daily basis. As well as allocating receipts appearing on the Council’s bank statement through the Income Management system, investigating and resolving income queries received from internal and external parties, including the processing of refunds. You will assist the Senior Income Control Officer with the investigation and allocation of items received on the bank statement. You will also be required to assist the Senior Income Control Officer with the bank reconciliation processes within the Income Management system.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our busy finance team. You will have experience of using a financial management system. You will be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
You will also have excellent time management, organisational skills and good attention to detail. You will be fully conversant with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
