Cycling Officer - Temporary (12 months)
Since being awarded £27million of Mini-Holland funding from Transport for London in 2014, Waltham Forest has been transforming the physical and cultural landscape
to make the borough an excellent place to walk and cycle. We want to create a lasting cycling culture and achieve our target of ten percent of all trips to be made by bike by 2020.
We are looking to appoint an experienced, passionate and committed individual to this post to join the Enjoy Waltham Forest Team to deliver the outcomes of the inclusive cycling elements of the project. The diverse duties are wide-ranging and varied and require flexible working, including some evening and weekend work.
The successful applicant must be able to work with a high degree of independence to deliver outstanding projects. You should be computer literate and able to demonstrate good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills. As a team member you will need to be prepared to work with other members of the team on a wide range of travel awareness initiatives.
This is a tremendous opportunity for the post holder to make a real difference to the lives of Waltham Forest residents, ensuring that there is fair and inclusive access to cycling and cycle parking in the borough, and encouraging behaviour change towards more cycling and walking as a mode of transportation.
