Applications are invited for two positions of Customer Service Advisor, within the People and Place Directorate.
We’re looking for motivated Customer Service Advisors. We have recently restructured our Customer Service Team to transform the way we deliver our services by putting customers at the heart of our services.
The successful candidates will become part of a multi-skilled Customer Service Team resolving a significant proportion of customer queries at the first point of contact, providing accurate advice and guidance on a wide range of topics including Revenue and Benefit enquiries, Housing and Public Protection.
Your role will be varied and rewarding. The role requires excellent communication skills to engage appropriately with a wide range of customers and you must have the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information, advice and instruction in accurate spoken English.
If you are super-organised and like a varied role dealing with enquiries via a number of channels such as face-to-face, telephone, email and have the ability to deliver high standards of customer service at all times and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.
The successful candidates must have Maths and English to GCSE standard or will be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and ability through work-based competences. Experience of working in a customer-focused environment in the housing sector or related field is essential.
Applicants are strongly advised to use the criteria in the person specification as sub-headings in their application to make it clear how they meet each of the selection criteria.
The successful candidates will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
