Part -time – Graphic Designer (Ref: 1A011N)

2 year fixed term contract

Salary up to £9,093p.a. (16 hours per week) (FTE £21,029p.a.)

An experienced Graphic Designer is sought to join a small, busy, dynamic communications team to provide an in-house design service for the Council.

The postholder will be part of the Graphic Design team who produce a range of publicity and information items from design brief to finished product for a whole range of services across the Council. In addition the team acts as the custodian of the Council’s corporate style.

The role will also involve liaising with internal and external customers, including the Council’s print services, external printers and suppliers.

The successful applicant must have at least a BTEC National Diploma or equivalent qualification in graphic design and experience in the design industry, together with a high standard of literacy and numeracy. They must be fully competent on Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office; they should also be conversant with Apple Mac. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
