Hertfordshire’s County Council’s SEND team is looking for an EHCP Review Officer to work as part of an effective team within our Statutory SEND service. The purpose of the team is to take a proactive approach to managing the annual review process for children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). The team will be responsible for drafting and finalising amendments to EHCPs in line with annual review documentation and communicating the local authority decisions relating to the review. 

The role of the Review Officer is to be to be responsible for incoming reviews, ensuring service standards, performance outcomes and statutory requirements are met in line with statutory timescales. We are looking for individuals educated to A level or equivalent, with knowledge of SEND in a school or setting.

To join our service, you will have knowledge of the SEND legislative framework 0 – 25 and the ability to support us to move our service forward working in collaboration with our partners ensuring that the child/young person and family are at the centre of all we do. In addition to your knowledge of the SEND legislative framework you will have good ICT skills, inclusive of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and further training will be given for the use internal databases.
