The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames presents a unique opportunity to be part of a team who work together to help keep local children safe.
Richmond & Kingston LSCB (Local Safeguarding Children Board) is looking for a member of staff to work part time, working directly to support the Child Death Review processes outlined in Chapter 5 of Working Together to Safeguard Children, 2018.
We are looking for someone who would be keen to coordinate the work of the child death review panel (CDOP), receive notification of the deaths of children and young people aged under 18 years in Kingston & Richmond. Reviews conducted by the CDOP are intended to identify any modifiable factors in relation to child deaths, make recommendations, and promote the learning from reviews in order to prevent future child deaths. They will provide policy and business support to the CDOP Chair and the Designated Paediatricians for child death reviews. Taking responsibility for the collection and presentation of relevant reports about individual children to the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP)
The LSCB works with across both boroughs, providing training, policy and procedural support, quality assurance and coordination of work to keep children safe. There may be travel to both Richmond & Kingston for meetings . We are a team of 7, some of whom work flexibly.
