About the job
If you're passionate about supporting Hillingdon's children and families to achieve their full potential, and have the skills and training required to support young children and parents to learn and develop new skills and abilities, then this is an ideal job for you! The London Borough of Hillingdon has 16 children's centres delivering early childhood services for the local community, in partnership with colleagues from Health, Midwifery and Children's Services. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Children's Practitioner to lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of community and centre based activities that support young children's learning, development and health ensuring consistency of high quality provision. We currently have one full time post available, working 36 hours a week at Pinkwell Children's Centre.
About the person
The successful applicant will have qualifications in Early Years and Childcare, either NVQ Level 3, CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education or NNEB or equivalent, and evidence of continued professional development.
Moreover, you will have experience of planning and carrying out care, play and learning programmes for groups of young children, including children under three, appropriate to their needs and developmental stage.
You will also have experience of working with families and children with complex needs and be able to plan sessions to make best use of available resources.
