About the role

We are looking for a talented Graduate or Accounting Technician, with drive and ambition, seeking the opportunity to start their career in local government and wider public sector finance. The  role is based in the Finance Team and will provide the opportunity, through study and on the job learning, for the apprentice to become qualified as a Chartered Public Finance (CIPFA) Accountant. The role is career graded and the work undertaken and salary will be in line with the level of professional qualification achieved.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the professionalism, creativity and energy that will make a difference, as you build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders across East Sussex, as we support you to deliver first rate services.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
