An exciting opportunity to work in the Payroll team has come up, initially the role will be fixed term to 31 December 2022 pending restructure of the HR department, with the possibility that the role will be made permanent or extended.
The right candidate will be a quick learner and team player that can work with the existing team to agreed deadlines to deliver pay to 6000 Council employees accurately and on time.
What will you be doing?
- Adding new starters, leavers and changes to our HR and Payroll System
- Dealing with incoming emails and phone calls to support our employees and answer queries
- Working with spreadsheets to process absence, timesheets and other data.
- Issuing communications to employees (letters/emails)
We are looking for someone that would like to learn all aspects of Payroll with a view to taking on an apprenticeship should a permanent role become available following the restructure.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
