We are pleased to advertise the newly created posts which support the growth and development of the AMHP service that works across 24 hours.

While the demand for Mental Health Act assessments has increased, it is relatively small numbers compared to other Local Authorities.  However, our quality of service is paramount to support the person being assessed and reaching positive outcomes.  The model of working on the Isle of Wight will be to also hold a small number of Mental Health cases and contribute to the 24-hour AMHP rota.

This is an exciting time for you to join the service as we are at the start of future developments and would love you to be active with supporting the growth of the team and service we provide. We are a hard-working team and it doesn’t go unnoticed in fact, we’ve just been named as runner up for one of the most prestigious awards in Adult Social Care - The MJ Awards 2021 in the Care and Health Integration category! We have also been nominated as finalists in the Local Government Chronicles 2021 for Well Being and Resilience in the partnership category.

As a Local Authority we are open to supporting your learning and personal development, so you will be encouraged to share your experience and expertise as well as have the opportunity to attend national conferences and partake in partnership training.

We offer regular quality supervision and will be working a 9-day fortnight to give a balance to your work commitments and home life should you wish to opt in.

Team IWC Values:
 - Community & Customer focused
 - Effective & Efficient
 - Working together
 - Fair & transparent

We are proud of our commitment to offer:
 - Supporting and supervising all our social care workforce
 - Providing opportunities for our staff as they develop and progress their professional  careers
 - Providing regular training opportunities.

We are looking forward to receiving your application if you have what it takes to make a difference and share our vision and values.

If you are a person that can support team members with future developments and want to make a difference to this service then why wait?
