An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Early Years Special Educational Needs Team- a team that works closely with nurseries and other lead professionals to support young children with Special Educational Needs
The successful candidate will lead and provide a highly effective professional administrative support service across the Early Years SEND team. This will include financial processes, including deployment and monitoring of High Needs, Inclusion Support and Disability Access Funds.
It is essential that the candidate has a very good level of ability on Excel and Word as the role involves the daily receipt, monitoring and processing of invoices and payments.
The person will require excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and have a high ability to perform a finance role without close supervision. The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience working to tight deadlines and show the ability to be a self starter and take full responsibility for their workload.
This role is public facing. The successful candidate will liaise with professionals, partner agencies, providers and families - including complex, sensitive and confidential matters – in person, on the telephone, and in writing.

Candidates must have/hold:
- English and Mathematics to GCSE A-C level or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent level qualification
- The candidate should have versatile IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as being able to adapt to a range of bespoke IT systems and databases. You will be required to show initiative and work on your own as well as part of a team.
- High level of numeric and literacy skills
- Extensive knowledge of Excel and experience of utilising/manipulating its advanced features.
- Experience of maintaining complex databases
- Experience of dealing with enquiries from the public and senior officers.
- Experience of office administration processes, mailing, scanning, filing and use of information systems
