Assisting and supporting the delivery of the projects for 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 in the Economic Prosperity Strategy Annual Plan
Attending regular internal and external meetings
Providing support for business events delivered by the Economic Development Service
Assisting in the collection of economic data around Mole Valley
Providing administrative support for the banner sites and community noticeboards
A range of administrative tasks and support
Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues at different levels within the organisation, customers and councillors, stakeholders and other partners appropriately within the work context.
Prepared to follow instructions and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently under own initiative
Self motivated, creative and positive approach to problem solving/finding solutions and adaptable and flexible approach to managing and completing different tasks.
You will gain invaluable experience, on-the-job training, development opportunities and dedicated mentoring.
Each day will present different challenges and opportunities. Working closely with other teams within the council provides an excellent overview of teams and roles in local government.
The level 4 Business Administration Apprenticeship will be delivered by Waverley Training Services within the workplace.
You will be paid a generous hourly rate of £7.38 – considerably higher than the national apprenticeship wage.
12 – 18 months duration.
On completion of the apprenticeship there will be the possibility of applying for permanent vacancies. A member of the Economic Development team started his career as an apprentice, and a number of apprentices with the organisation have successfully secured permanent positions with us.
