Support Time and Recovery Worker                                                               

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Time and Recovery Worker within the Wokingham Community Mental Health Service. You will be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team who pride themselves in delivering excellent services to service users and their carers. The service is proud to be rated “Outstanding” by CQC. The post holder will act as a Support Time and Recovery Worker for the service and will support the team in fulfilling its responsibilities. This will include liaison with the Adult Social Care, Wokingham Borough Council.

The service comprises of a Long term recovery team and a duty function. The post holder will carry a varied caseload, acting as a support time and recovery worker.  STRs are a key part of CMHT, as they assist clients to engage, building trust and a rapport to gain a holistic understanding of their circumstances and how to improve them. They assist service users to access support, providing individualised services with practical problems or difficulties that may be affecting their health and wellbeing. They can also provide help and advice on housing, social isolation and exclusion, education, debt management and employment issues.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, resourceful and creative in overcoming potential challenges for your service users and able to demonstrate resilience as you proactively support your service users and liaise with partner agencies.
