Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 per week

Are you proactive, enthusiastic, and highly organised?

Are you caring and passionate about improving the lives of children and young people?

If so, we are looking for a Partnership Manager to join our Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnership Team. There are many agencies on the Isle of Wight supporting children and young people, and they all work together to ensure they are keeping children safe.

This is a unique opportunity to join a motivated and influential team responsible for coordinating and managing the work of the Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnership Team (IOWSCP). For more information on the work of the IOWSCP please visit the IOWSCP website Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Everything we do is underpinned by two key principles:

• Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility - for services to be effective each professional and organisation should play their full part.

• A child-centred approach - for services to be effective they should be based on a clear understanding of the needs and views of the individual children whilst recognising the support parents and carers may require.

You will be working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Manager, leaders, and managers from a wide range of partner agencies and chairs of working groups to support delivery of an ambitious business plan. This role also has oversight of the IOWSCP PQA programme to deliver against the statutory requirements outlined in Working Together 2018.

The role is based in Newport, Isle of Wight but there will be a requirement for the postholder to occasionally travel to meetings across Hampshire, including Portsmouth and Southampton.

For further information or an informal discussion, please contact Tim Sandle, Strategic Partnership Manager at 07 55115 2753 or

When submitting your application, please ensure you include your CV and covering letter.
