In this role you’ll work in the heart of the community, providing emotional support to ensure that individuals and families that have resettled or are being hosted in the UK, received advice, support and assistance targeted to a variety of needs.
Your experience of partnership working will allow you to take an active role in the team to work with the Council’s Housing team and other external partners to focus and implement the current Ukraine scheme in the Sevenoaks District.
If you have experience of working with vulnerable people, then you’ll know that communication and negotiation skills are key as is being able to deal with sensitive and confidential material. You’ll also have experience of working with several agencies to achieve a common goal and a sound knowledge of welfare and legislation surrounding the Ukraine sponsor scheme.
This role will be based at our Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks Kent TN13 1HG. We currently operate a hybrid working model for the majority of our roles where your working time will be divided between the office (2-3 days) and home working (2-3 days).
