P05: Starting salary £43,503 pa rising in annual increments to £46,347 pa incl LW

Trading Standards have a key role in making this happen, and there is now an exciting opportunity to apply to join the team at Lambeth.
The Principal Trading Standards Officer will lead and manage the Council’s Trading Standards service. The successful applicant will have overall operational responsibility for the delivery of services which comply fully with all relevant legislation, including an intelligence-led inspection and test purchasing programme, sampling, advice and education activities, investigations and enforcement.
You will be required to demonstrate recent experience in a management role within a similar setting. Building good relationships, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to identify income opportunities, the confidence to deal with challenging or difficult situations and a focus on results are essential for this post.
The postholder will be appointed as the Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures for the borough and so is required to hold the relevant qualifications.
Occasional working outside of normal office hours is required for all posts.
