An opportunity has arisen to permanently appoint a Team Manager in the Child Looked After Service. The successful candidate will provide leadership and management to a team that undertakes PLO interventions from the 1st court hearing and ensure that children's permency plans are robust and in line with the indivual needs of children and their families.
The Team Manager is responsible for the Supervision of 6 Social Workers, management oversight of all case work, performance management of the team and ensuring that quality of practice is outstanding both wirtten and engagement.
The successful applicant will need to be qualified and professionally registered as a Social Worker, have knowledge of current legislation and regulations.
Knowsley is the smallest borough in Merseyside, covering only 33.40 sq miles, but it doesn't come without its challenges. With over 30% of children living in income-deprived families, an average of 350 children on child in need plans, 200 children on a child protection plan and 300 children being looked after there is always a lot of work to be done to support our children and families.
