We are looking to recruit two Transport Officers to join the Council’s Transport & Parking Services. This is an exciting opportunity and the successful applicants will be part of a newly-formed sub-team overseeing the team’s contracts, finance and support functions.
Together, the two Transport Officers will provide procurement support for the team, oversee supplier DBS/training/licence/insurance checks, process invoices, raise sales and purchase orders, and oversee our ICT systems. We are seeking individuals with strong financial and IT skills, who will help to deliver cost-effective, safe and legal, contracted operations.
The successful applicants should be educated to level 5, or have equivalent experience. Applicants should have knowledge of transport legislation and equality issues, excellent communication and customer service skills, be able to work on their own and as part of a team, and manage their own workload.
