Are you committed to improving air quality, regulating permitted processes and investigating statutory nuisance?

If the answer is ‘yes’ or even ‘maybe’ then read on as we are looking for a dedicated and experienced person to join our team, and that person could be you!

We are located in Esher, Surrey and cover towns such as Weybridge and Walton-on-Thames. You may not be based in the Borough but rest assured that there are good rail and road links to London and the South East. We are one of the larger Boroughs in Surrey and with land values that rival London and a population of approximately 135,000, we will provide an exciting and challenging step in your career. Not only will you be working in an organisation determined to make the best decisions for Elmbridge but you will also have the benefit of dedicated and supportive colleagues. We believe in collaborative working, challenging ourselves to work smarter and above all, we place our residents at the centre of everything we do.

Reporting to the Senior Environmental Health Officer, you will be responsible for managing all environmental protection aspects in Elmbridge; you will cover the full range of duties on a borough-wide basis and there will be the opportunity for project work

We are really keen on learning and development and more than willing to create a bespoke learning and development package for you, including professional qualifications. We want you to thrive at Elmbridge; if you enjoy your role and feel valued then both the organisation and our residents benefit.

There is also the flexibility; if you are seeking that elusive work life balance but don’t want to give up the challenging and thought-provoking parts of the job, then we could be the organisation for you. Hear from our employees on why Elmbridge is a great place to work.

If we have intrigued you please contact us, visit our website (elmbridge.gov.uk) or Google us to find out more. For an informal discussion please call 01372 474750 and speak to Paul Leadbeater Principal Environmental Health Officer or Ian Tucker Environmental Health & Licensing Manager
