To provide a high-quality frontline response to customers and assist in the successful running of Medway Council sports centres and heritage and tourism facilities for the benefit of customers.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Customer Service Apprentice to join the Medway Council team within the Sport, Leisure, Heritage and Tourism Service. This is a great chance to gain the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 whilst working for the team that provide the sport, leisure, heritage and tourism facility services within Medway

As part of this role you can expect to undertake the following tasks:

  • Customer Service
  • Responding to simple queries via telephone or email
  • Operating till systems
  • Stock sales
  • Meeting customers and dealing with needs
  • Updating of systems
  • Email inbox monitoring
  • Maintenance of database
  • Supporting wider centre staff to operate facility

Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
