Category Manager Agency and Energy
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a busy team delivering procurement and commissioning services at West Berkshire Council.
Reporting to the Service Manager, Commissioning & Procurement – Place and Resources, you will take a lead role in the delivery of a range of contracts across energy and agency, supporting the implementation of Category Management in the Council and helping to develop contract management policy.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of two years’ experience of working in procurement. You will ideally have some knowledge or experience in either agency or energy contracts, although this is not essential. You will have excellent negotiation skills and be able to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders and the ability to manage tender processes against a portfolio of contracts.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to make a positive impact are crucial for this role, along with a strong data analytical skills and working knowledge of public sector procurement regulations.
