Housing Support Officer
We are looking for a pro-active, motivated individual to join our Income Recovery Team, for a 1-year secondment/fixed term contract.
We are looking for someone with:
- A strong customer focus, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Experience of working within an organisation of comparable scale and complexity
- A tenacious and resilient approach
- The ability to work effectively across teams/services
Ideally applicants will have worked within an organisation of comparable scale and complexity: either a local authority or Registered Social Landlord and have experience of working in a customer service environment.
The duties of the role will include:
- Monitoring and actioning of arrears on garage accounts
- Attendance at garage repossessions
- Completing verifications on the Universal Credit Landlord Portal
- Updating of records using Excel, Word and the current Housing Management System, OHMs.
- Providing telephone cover on a rota basis
- Dealing with customers at our enquiry desk, based at the Debden Broadway Office on Mondays and Tuesdays
- General admin support to the Income Recovery Team
Good IT and communication skills are essential as is a confident and flexible approach and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
