Housing Resettlement Officer
Hertsmere is located in southern Hertfordshire and is an attractive environment in which to live and work. It adjoins Greater London and has excellent road and rail links making London and the Home Counties easily accessible.
This is an exciting new role working as part of successful and highly driven Housing team, supporting vulnerable individuals into long term housing. The post holder will work with current and former rough sleepers and those who need greater support to maintain stable and secure lives.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside our new 24 bed scheme which has been delivered in partnership with local charity One YMCA and this role forms part of our commitment to support everyone in housing need.
The successful candidate will actively engage with private sector landlords, sourcing properties and providing support and guidance to landlords and tenants. Building a rapport with rough sleepers will begin early in the individual’s journey by supporting verification and outreach work enabling trust to be built with each person.
A commitment to helping vulnerable individuals and good communication skills to build a rapport with landlords, individuals and partners is key. Supporting individuals with complex needs can be challenging but highly rewarding.
