The London borough of Sutton “is uncompromising in its focus on improving quality of frontline social work” – Ofsted

Ofsted announced in February 2017 that the provision of children’s services in Sutton has been rated as ‘Good’. Inspectors went on to highlight:

  • ‘Social workers see children regularly and work hard to ensure that they hear and act on children’s views.’

  • ‘Children and young people are helped to contribute to their plans and reviews, and their views are listened to, to help make services better.’

We have changed the way we deliver frontline children’s services. Adopting and pioneering early intervention and Restorative Practice approaches, the face of Social Work is changing in Sutton. Our commitment to developing staff, our culture of openness and manageable caseloads contributes to an environment of learning and development and continuing to improve our services.
