West Sussex County Council (WSCC) needs you! We're looking for an Information Analyst to join our Property and Asset Records Team.

The Property & Asset Records Team provide and manage the corporate property management system that ensures teams and services can manage and access all relevant records across the Councils Portfolio. You'll work in a small team who update drawings, core property information and surveys with the main function to increase smarter ways of working, whilst working with a diverse range of roles across the Council.

As an Information Analyst, you will:

  • Record and manage a range of information in the database and drawings, we maintain such as assessments, asbestos and condition surveys.
  • Have a sound understanding of analysing asset data in line with WSCC's Asset Strategy
  • Track surveys and communicating results in meaningful summary reports.
  • Receive and answer enquires pertaining to WSCC property and building interests.

Experience and Skills

Key Skills:

  1. A methodical, fastidious and accurate manner is essential for data capture and entry.
  2. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  3. Numerate and analytical ability for the management and presentation of data, using software as required.
  4. Ability to work as part of a team
  5. Writing of reports in SQL - desirable
  6. Sound and accurate IT and keyboard skills in order to analyse and research complex data and produce reports / statements.

Qualifications and/or experience:

  • 3 GCSEs or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
  • Sound and accurate IT knowledge of information systems, Microsoft Word and other MS Office applications.
  • Experience of working within a Property Services discipline, dealing with complaints and defusing possible conflicts.
  • To have proven successful experience of working as part of a team in order to effectively meet objectives within agreed timescales.
  • Use of AutoCAD software - desirable
  • Reporting from databases
