The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
About the role
The Southfield Trust is embarking on a new venture and we are offering exciting opportunities across our excellent special school multi-academy trust. The Trust currently has three schools, located across five, distinct school sites. We are expanding that provision to include a new, purpose built special school, Summerdown School. All of our schools are based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.
Opening Summerdown School will create a wide range of interesting and motivating posts across every school in The Southfield Trust. We will recruit internally and externally to all teaching posts.
The Southfield Trust would like to appoint committed and inspirational classroom teachers with primary experience for South Downs and Summerdown School. The Southfield Trust delivers high quality for pupils with a range of significant complex needs including autism and medical needs. This post is fixed term for one year from September 2022.
