Make every aspect of our homes exceptional.
In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. We’ve never been more focused on ensuring our housing helps residents get the most from life. The infrastructure must be the best it can be. Facilities must work. And any issues are quickly resolved.
If you’ve experience of contract management, project management and contract surveying; this is an outstanding opportunity to take on a key role in the Capital projects team, working with colleagues delivering a portfolio of approximately £300m over the next seven years.
You’ll split your time on site, in the office and working from home. Literally anything could come your way, from a simple leaky roof to carrying out spot checks on site, coming up with value engineering options, planned maintenance surveys, setting up scope of works to checking feasibility designs.
Whatever the challenge, as one of our most respected technical voices you’ll speak to residents to better-understand their needs. You’ll then coordinate and work with project managers, contractors, colleagues and consultants to keep everything on track, while expertly getting the best value from every budget.
Please refer to the Job Description for more information.
As well as a relevant professional qualification (or equivalent experience), you’ll bring a wealth of technical knowledge and a flair for developing strong business cases. In particular, we’re looking for a background in capital/major works approaches to residential buildings with residents in situ and a reputation for developing great relationships with service providers.
