Temporary Contract or secondment opportunity for 12 months
We have an opportunity to join our Private Sector Housing Team. We are a high performing, ambitious Council with a proven track record of retaining valuable people and developing their careers. The Council is also committed to working collaboratively and is at the start of this journey, working with South Norfolk Council.
This is an important post to ensure acceptable housing conditions within the district, including contributions to enforcement, empty homes, DFG and housing renewal programmes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated individual to make a significant contribution to our team. To be considered for this post you must have a degree or diploma in Environmental Health (or equivalent) and be registered (or eligible to register) with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board.
We recognise the importance of understanding what our employee’s value and offer developmental opportunities as well as a range of employee focused and often innovative benefits. We are delighted with the recognition we have received in ‘The Sunday Times’ awards ‘Best Not for Profit Organisations to Work For‘ 2017 and previous years. We believe this acknowledges the value we place on staff and the importance of making the working environment a positive one.
We are willing to consider applications from experienced Environmental Health Officers wanting to job share.
