Working as a member of the Community Division service line based within the Personality Disorder Service- Community Team you will be responsible for providing individual assessment, identified clinical interventions and direct care to service users with severe personality disorder and associated difficulties. You will be responsible for a defined caseload and they will formulate appropriate specific, highly specialist care and treatment plans; providing highly skilled and specialist interventions and care to service users with complex mental health problems. Care co-ordination, care act assessments and safeguarding will also form part of this role as well as work with service users’ whole support systems.
The post holder will contribute to governance and audit within the team, ensuring that team members are supported and developed to their potential and that new team members are comprehensively inducted and successfully integrated into the team. You will be expected to contribute to achieving the performance targets set by both the Camden and Islington Foundation Trust and Islington Council, and to work collaboratively towards positive outcomes with service users and carers.

This role will be based in the Personality Disorder Service for the first 12 months, after this time you may be relocated to another team within Mental Health Services.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
This role requires you to be a qualified Social Worker and must be registered with Social Work England. Also, to be successful in this role you must be willing to show a commitment to undertake Post Qualifying Courses when relevant.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate and committed to work within the recovery model and dedicated to improve the well-being of those receiving input from us as well as their carers and wider community networks.
You will have experience of working with people with complex mental health difficulties in a community setting. You will also have experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally to high service standards.

An AMHP and Best Interest Assessor qualification is desirable, or a willingness to train.
