About the Role
Are you passionate about ensuring adult carers and young carers get the support they need? Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference for families that need social care support?
Our Carer Practice Advisor role is an exciting and varied role that promotes good practice in whole family assessment and support planning within our Locality Teams.
A day in the life of the role may include leading 1:1 and group good practice sessions with colleagues, developing and delivering training to small groups within your team, networking with local voluntary sector organisations, presenting information sessions to public groups, representing your team at local strategy groups, supporting a colleague on a complex visit involving a carer, holding a small specialised caseload involving carers, running a carer drop-in session in your local community, reviewing your team’s performance against defined carer and young carer performance measures.
To be considered for this position you will be able to evidence experience in carrying out social care assessments and planning support consistent with the expectations of the job profile of the Senior Social Care Assistant role. You’ll be able to convey an understanding of both the legislative and good practice contexts working with carers and young carers in all areas of social care practice. You’ll evidence excellent IT skills, ideally having used Liquid Adults System (LAS) database and other MS Office applications, and have experience presenting to small groups.
If you are organised, hardworking, enjoy being a part of a team but also able to work under your own initiative, motivated by helping others improve their practice, and enthusiastic about whole family and personalised approaches, we’d be happy to hear from you.
