Salary Range: £22,158 p.a. - £24,591 p.a. plus car allowance £2,746 p.a.

Flexible / hybrid working with office based days in Hailsham, East Sussex

Who?

We are looking for an Economic Development Project Officer to join our Economic Development and Wellbeing Team, who are responsible for helping develop a vibrant local economy and supporting local communities.

What will you be doing?

• Providing support to the wider team to deliver our service plan covering economic development and tourism
• Planning and producing communications to our businesses including e-newsletters, social media, website content and print
• Project work to support the revitalisation of our towns high streets and Districts business parks and industrial estates
• Support to wider team to deliver Shared Prosperity Funded projects and actions arising from the Economic Development Strategy

What do you need?

• A 2:2 or above undergraduate degree
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the Wealden District
• Excellent communication skills and able to confidently deal with external stakeholders and partners
• Strong attention to detail and be able to work to deadlines
• Good IT skills

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Wealden have adopted new ways of working which includes hybrid working; this will require staff to work from home and to attend the offices in Hailsham when required.
