12 Month Fixed Term
You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of an effective and efficient Allocations and Lettings service, monitoring households in temporary accommodation and focusing on the private rented sector, you will maximise the use of all housing stock within the district and on increasing the successful take up of sustainable private sector options.
You will need to be experienced in giving advice to housing applicants and dealing with allocations policies, have a comprehensive working knowledge of Social Housing Allocations Policies, and a thorough understanding of the Housing Act 1996 Part VI in relation to the allocation of accommodation. Previous experience of line management would be beneficial, but not essential. Above all else, you will need to be able to work effectively in a flexible team set-up whilst being able to operate on your own initiative, have excellent communication and customer service skills, and have the ability to build constructive working relationships with a range of partners and services.
