Salary: £30,141 - £31,587 (inc. MRS of £5,150 and enhanced MRS of £3,850)

Children are referred to us through our Access & Referral Hub/Mash who receive, filter and prioritise all referrals within 24 hours of receipt. This “front door” is supported by three specialist Assessment Teams focussed on assessing Children in Need and those in Need of Protection.
We are delighted in the support from Senior Management and Councillors ensuring safe caseloads and low supervision ratios as the basis for an opportunity for you to practice to a high standard.
In the Assessment Teams (6-8 staff with Business Support) we work with children and families during the Child and Family Assessment process.
We pride ourselves in recruiting staff whose priority is children but specifically obtaining their views/wishes and feelings in innovative and imaginative ways to formulate and inform the planning for and with them.
The reasons for our involvement is crucial in all the work we do but specifically when working openly and transparently with parents to support and enable change.
We support families via child in need and child protection processes, undertaking section 47 child protection enquiries and also when required request removal of children from their families via Public Law Processes.
We are responsible for assessing and ensuring the right outcomes are realised for the family in the interim case closure, step down to early help, transfer via child in need, child protection or child looked after processes.
We inform referrers and other involved professionals the outcome of the assessment where appropriate.
