Estate Assistant
In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. Across the borough, our Estates Services teams collaborate with residents of council-owned housing estates to look after shared amenities and outdoor spaces. We also work to combat anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, litter and graffiti. Our aim is for everyone to have a clean, safe, healthy place to live.
The Role:
Your administrative support will ensure we keep track of our people, resources, budgets and schedules effectively, right across the Estates Services team. You’ll be the go-to person for everything from absence records to reports on performance. Working closely with our Head of Estates and Environmental Services, your tasks will range from minute-taking at meetings to dealing with customer queries and complaints. It’s an opportunity to learn about housing and estate management from the inside out. No two days will be the same, and there is even the opportunity for some home-based working.
Please refer to the Job Description for more information
About You:
You’re likely to have a strong background in administrative support, perhaps as a PA or team leader. Highly organised, with plenty of initiative, you’ll be able to set up efficient filing and other systems. Good office IT skills will therefore be important. You’ll also have the interpersonal skills to deal with a wide range of customer queries and complaints, calmly and efficiently. Tenacious and proactive, with precise attention to detail, you’ll ensure we gather all the information we need and that our teams out on site know what’s expected of them.
In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
