Knowsley Early Years Service work to build capacity within children, families, and communities through the provision of high-quality accessible universal services and a preventative Early Help offer that will start to break the intergenerational cycles of disadvantage and dependency. Knowsley Early Years Team will ensure every child grows up in a nurturing environment, with access to public service support helping children to fulfil their potential as they move into primary and secondary education.
To lead the Volunteer Strategy for the Early Years Team. This will encompass the recruitment, training and mobilisation of volunteers to support the wider universal offer in Early Years services and liaison with voluntary sector groups also contributing to the offer.
To develop and co-ordinate the Knowsley Early Years Volunteer offer to ensure all current gaps are addressed and that a wide range of support is available across Knowsley for children 0-5 years
To develop integrated pathways and processes in Knowsley Early Years Team with key partners to ensure an effective, efficient and quality Volunteer offer is achieved.
A degree level qualification in Education/Health/Social Care or equivalent is necessary for the role.
At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time.
A flexible approach to working including ability to work core hours 8am - 8pm Monday- Saturday for which appropriate time off in lieu can be accrued (and be flexible about work outside these hours depending upon service activity)
